Application: 


Widely used in technical, industrial areas, food industries, toothpaste, oil drilling, ceramic, mining, paper making, coating, textile, battery, detergent, welding, tobacco, building material, catalyst, mosquito repellent incense, etc. Besides  CMC, Colorcom also produces cellulose ethers such as CMC-NH4, CMC-Li, and CMC-K.

Ammonium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC-NH4) CMC-NH4 is a new cellulose derivative developed by Colorcom Group. NOx is the main pollutant discharged in thermal power generation. It is one of the prime sources for acid rain and the predecessor of photochemical smog. Among the present denitration technologies, SCR is most frequently used. In order to get the uniform plastic paste with good mechanical strength and pore structure, adhesives must be used in the production process of SCR catalyst. CMC-NH4, as an adhesive, has the characters of good adhesion and little residue after ignition, which can satisfy the requirements in the SCR catalyst production process.
Lithium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC-Li)
With the cooperation of universities, Colorcom successfully developed CMC-Li. It is a single ion conductor with excellent efficiency, and it can be used as a new solid electrolyte. When it is used in Li-ion battery, it has the follow characters: 1) during the production of battery, due to the strong adhesion, the coated film with active substances will not fall off the collecting body and no crack will be formed ; 2) it will not dissolve in electrolyte solution; 3) due to the strong adhesion, although the collecting body is repeatedly charged and discharged, the coated film will not fall off from it and no crack will be formed; 4) with small usage, it has enough adhesion strength; 5) it will not react with electrolyte. All the above characters can give the Li-ion battery a bigger capacity, lower the internal resistance and improve the discharge voltage platform and big current discharge ability of batteries. These characters also have promoting effect to the battery on recycling property, the decreasing of internal voltage during charging, self discharging, etc.
Potassium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC-K)
CMC-K is another cellulose derivative that Colorcom Group developed. In food industry, CMC has been used as a common food additive, but the study found that excessive ingestion of sodium can lead to diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases. So in the daily life, we should reduce the ingestion of sodium, and we can also use some potassium salts to replace the sodium salts. In well drilling, many accidents are caused by the hydrated swelling and dispersing of the mud shale. The research shows that CMC-K is better than CMC when used to inhibit the hydrated swelling of the mud shale. And CMC-K can also be used in the tobacco and fertilizer industry.
